Remember Me
The night after a young wife died, she appeared to her husband as he slept. She spoke to him asking that he be in a certain place not far from their home on the following night - the night of the full moon. She would be riding past that place with the fairy host. When the cavalcade came by, he was to watch for the grey horse on which she would be mounted and if he was able to seize her with no delay she would be returned to him alive and well. He arrived at the place she described and was astonished to see the cavalcade passing as she had foretold. Amongst the elves and little people he saw other people who haad recently died. When he tried to reach his wife, he was ostructed by the undergrowth and a stream and, startled, the horses bolted and the cavalcade disappeared, leaving him alone.
